Hace poco me propuse que si iba a viajar más, iba a esforzarme por conocer más mi país. México es tan bonito y tiene tanto que ofrecer así que, bienvenidos a mi post sobre algunos lugares increíbles en Baja California Sur. Si te gusta el mar azul, la arena blanca, el sol y el bien comer, este lugar es para ti. (Y un agradecimiento especial a mis amigas por este viaje y a @marianacabrerab por las fotos)
La Paz
Me atrevo a decir que esta ciudad tiene las playas y joyas más bonitas del mundo. La Isla Espíritu Santo, Balandra y en general el Mar de Cortés es de las cosas más increíbles que haya visto con mis propios ojos. A donde voltees hay cactus gigantescos, diferentes tonalidades de azul, gente bonita y los atardeceres más coloridos. Recomiendo visitar la Paz antes que Los Cabos, conviene mucho más ya que los vuelos son más baratos a La Paz y es fácil transportarse a Los Cabos.
¿Qué necesitas saber desde antes?
-El clima es muy caliente y el sol es el más potente que he visto, no puedes estar más de 1 hora sin aplicarte bloqueador. Tomen mi consejo y cuidense bien.
-Hay temporadas dependiendo lo que nos queramos encontrar por ejemplo:
Tiburón ballena: de octubre a abril
Ballenas: dic-abril
-A la playa siempre hay que llevar vinagre blanco por si nos pican agua malas. Esto los va a salvar.
Lo mejor que puedes hacer:
Es quedarte en algún hotel en el centro o rentar alguna casita que tenga alberca y cocina. Esto es muy conveniente si uno no quiere gastar en comida todos los días. Si van a rentar, de preferencia elijan rentarle a propietarios locales y mexicanos. Hay que apoyar a la economía local mientras viajamos.
¿A dónde ir?
Balandra
Balandra es la playa más bonita que he visto en mi vida. El agua es crisitalina y la arena blanca, es mágico. El agua no llega más arriba de la cadera por cientos de metros. Es el lugar perfecto para nadar, andar en kayak y asolearte. Lo mejor es llegar entre 9:30 y 10:00 para poder instalarse en una palapa, estacionarse y evitar multitudes. Excelente horarios para unas buenas fotos. Aquí les dejo las fotos para que no les cuenten y mejor lo vean con sus ojos.
Otra playa linda es "El tecolotito".
Tour Espíritu Santo:
Existen muchos tours, pero el que más vale la pena es el tour a la Isla Espíritu Santo. Es un lugar imponentemente hermoso y muy bien cuidado. El tour que yo tomé y recomiendo es el de "Rebequitas Tour" y lo puedes tomar en el Malecón. Lo que más me gusto de este tour es que verdaderamente se preocupan por cuidar sus playas y mares. Durante nuestros recorrido a la isla nos tuvimos que detener algunas veces a recoger basura que algún turista irresponsable dejo escapar al mar. Se agradece que estás personas se dediquen a cuidar lo que algunos descuidamos sin preocuparnos por el efecto que tienen nuestras acciones.
El tour costo $800 pesos e incluye comida, equipo para snorkel, y es de 10:00 a 4:00 pm aproximadamente.
El tour es un recorrido y explicación en barco por un costado de la isla y hace parada en la Playa coralito. La isla está protegida y esta playa es la única área donde los turistas pueden bajar y nadar. Es mágico estar parado ahí y ver los diferentes tonos de azul del mar, flotar en el agua cristalina y voltear a ver la fauna y flora de la isla. Ahí empieza también el snorkel, los corales y arrecifes guardan miles de secretos que si tienes suerte podrás ver. Nosotros tuvimos suerte de ver manta rayas, pepinos de mar, estrellas de muchos colores, y muchos peces coloridos.
Después es hora de partir a nadar con lobos marinos, si lobos marinos. Ellos son libres y de desearlo pueden acercarse a ti, sobre todo a los cachorros les gusta acercarse a jugar. Es imponente ver animales tan majestuosos cerca de ti. La verdad yo si estaba muy nerviosa y doy gracias que no se me acercaron a jugar jajaja pero los tuve lo suficientemente cerca y es una experiencia única. Este tour es imperdible.
El Malecón:
Para pasear, chacharear y disfrutar del atardecer, el Malecón es ideal. Lo mejor es ir casi al atardecer a tomarse algo para no sufrir el calor.
Si van, cómprense una paleta helada de coco en "La fuente", son las mejores que he probado.
¿Dónde y qué comer?
-La Palapa del Vado: Está muy cerca del aeropuerto. Pidan los camarones al coco y los tacos de camarón.
-Mariscos El Cayuco: El lugar ideal para probar el Pescado Zarandeado.
En general, no dejen comer y de probar los mariscos jaja.
Los Cabos
Recomiendo ir uno o dos días. Esta parte es más de diversión y entretenimiento. Vale la pena visitar San José para lo cultural y San lucas para la diversión.
Yo visite Mango Deck que es muy divertido y en la noche Mandala club.
De ida ó regreso recomiendo pasar a Todos los Santos, que es un pueblo mágico en donde está el "Hotel California", sí él de la canción, y donde uno puede comprar dulces y cosas típicas de la región.
Es muy divertido y bonito pero si tuviera que elegir uno u otro elegiría La Paz.

Hello! Welcome back to the blog. A few months ago my friends and I planned a trip and I honestly can say it's one of the most amazing places I've ever been. Keep reading if you want to figure out where you can find white sand beaches, clear blue water, a bunch of cacti and the best food ever.
La Paz, Baja California.
La Paz keeps many of the most amazing places I've ever seen. It's a really hot place especially in summer, so please be aware and use sunscreen. If you like tanning, swimming, boat riding and eating, here's a complete guide of the places you need to see.
Where to stay?
If you are looking for a place to stay for a few days I think a hotel located in downtown is perfect. We stayed for a bit more than a week so a house with a pool was perfect for us. It's also great if you want to cook some meals there and save money. If you are renting a house or Airbnb it will be nice if you made sure the people you rent to are mexican and locals. It really helps local people and mexican tourism.
Balandra
I think this is the most beautiful beach in the world, and I'm not afraid to say it. The water is warm and reaches your belly button. You can do some kayaking, tanning, and swimming. The water is so clear and clean. I suggest you get there between 9:30 to 10:00 am in order to get a place with shade and to enjoy the beach without crowds for a while. This is the perfect timing if you like taking pictures like I do.
Also, always carry with you white vinegar, just in case a jellyfish burns you, this will save you a rough time.
Tour Espiritu Santo
Espiritu Santo is an Island in La Paz, that has one of Mexico's best-kept secrets. It's a protected island white clear water, volcanic formations and tons of different species. This place was my favorite.
We took the Rebequita's tour at the Malecon (downtown.), it had a fair price that included the ride to the island, delicious food, drinks, equipment for snorkel and a visit to see some wild and free sea lions.
Honestly, the crew was amazing and they take so much care of the sea and island. They really make an effort to keep it safe and clean. Only authorized tours are allowed on the island and there are only a few places you can swim.
Snorkeling on this island was just magical. I couldn't believe the amount of thing I saw and how beautiful it was. We saw colorful fish, stars, corals, and even small stingrays. Also been so close to sea lions is impressive, not gonna lie, I was a bit scared and thankful that the puppies didn't get too close to play but it was definitely worth it.

Malecón
This is the downtown area where you can have a drink and enjoy the sunset. Here you'll find little restaurants and shops. If you do stop by don't forget to try a coconut popsicle from the store "La Fuente".
Where to eat?
-La Palapa del Vado: It's really close to the airport. Try the coconut shrimp and the shrimp tacos.
-Mariscos El Cayuco: Best place in town to eat Zarandeado style fish.
And my best advice is just to eat as much seafood as you can. It's so fresh and delicious.
Los Cabos.
This is in Baja California too, it's about two hours away from La Paz. On your way to Los Cabos you can stop by "Todos Los Santos" which is a Magical town where so can find local sweets, which I love and Hotel California. Yes, the one from the song.
Los Cabos is gorgeous too but it's more for people that like big resorts and party.
I went out to Mango Deck in the afternoon and it was a lot of fun, and at night we went clubbing at Mandala. If you are looking for a relaxing time and adventures visit La Paz and if you are in the mood for luxury, party and more price eating Los Cabos is for you.
Both are really nice.
