Chepe, Chepe, Chepe.
Después de permanecer una noche en el hotel Misión en Cerocahui es hora de partir y regresar al majestuoso Chepe. Gracias a él, el tren se convirtió en mi nuevo medio de transporte favorito. Éste fue el último recorrido en tren del viaje ya que para apreciar otros puntos lo mejor es ir en coche.

After spending a night at the Hotel Misión in Cerocahui it was time to leave and get back to the magnificent Chepe. Thanks to this trip, the train is my new favorite way of transportation. Unfortunately, this was the last time we rode it, because the best way to appreciate other spots is by car.
Llegamos a la estación Posada Barrancas y de ahí nos hospedamos 2 noches en el hotel "Mirador". Este hotel es mi favorito porque tienes la vista más majestuosa que se puede tener desde una ventana. Absolutamente todos los cuartos tienen vista a las barrancas, incluyendo los restaurantes. En la mañana al asomarte por el balcón lo único que ves es la inmensidad imponente de las barrancas.

We arrived at the Posada Barrancas station and spent 2 night at the "Mirador" hotel. This is my favorite hotel ever, it has the most magnifying view of all. Absolutely every single room has a balcony with a view of the canyon, including the restaurants. Every morning you can hang out in your balcony appreciating the view.
No se pueden perder: La comida aquí, al igual que en todos los hoteles que mencioné, es exquisita. Prueben todos los postres y traten de llegar temprano para pedir las mesas junto a la ventana.

You can't miss: the food her (like in the other hotels) is amazing. Make sure you try all of their desserts.
¿Qué hacer? /What to do?
Caminata con Martín: Martín es un rarámuri (tarahumara) que guía una caminata por el cerro. Es un deportista nato y te da un acercamiento a su cultura. Él explica como hacen deporte los rarámuris, cómo viven, a qué se dedican y qué tradiciones conservan. Durante la caminata hay varios miradores y lugares con vistas increíbles para tomarse fotos, una pequeña familia que vende artesanías a la mitad del cerro donde está ubicada su casa y por su puesto el sendero que es una caminata amena y nada complicada. Hiking with Martín: Martín is a local rarámuri who guides a hike through the canyon. Speaking and spending time with locals is the best way to get to know a different culture. During the hike there are several look points where you can take amazing pictures. Also, we got to meet a family in the middle of the mountain and how they live. This hike is super easy and fun.
Para los extremos (y los que no tanto)/ This is for the adventurous...
Esta fue de mis partes favoritas de todo el viaje. Fuímos al parque de Aventura Barranca del Cobre. Les recomiendo dedicarle un día completo, llegar temprano, usar ropa deportiva y llevar mucho bloqueador. Hay actividades para todos los gustos. Set de 7 tirolesas, Zip line que es la tirolesa más grande del mundo, Vía ferrata que es rappel y el teleférico. El lugar también cuenta con un restaurante con vista increíble. Me sentí orgullosa de ver que México tiene un lugar así y con ese tipo de infrestructura, está de primer nivel.

This was one of my favorite parts. We went to the "Aventura Barranca del Cobre" park. I suggest you dedicate a whole day to this park, get there early, wear comfortable clothes and use sunblock. There are activities for everyone. Zip lines, scary bridges, the biggest zip line in the world and a two way cable car. The park also has a restaurant with a very nice view.
Esta es la mejor recomendación para elegir sus actividades: Compren el paquete que lo incluye todo. Para regresar de las 7 tirolesas y del Zip line hay que tomar el teleférico lo cual significa que viene incluido. En caso de que no llegues a completar todas las actividades te regresan cierta cantidad. Todos pueden hacerlo. Las edad no fue excusa para omitir esta aventura. Aunque también hay manera de sólo pagar el teleférico ida y vuelta, la cual es la actividad más tranquila.

Insider tip: Buy the package that includes all the activities. The cable car is the way back from the set of 7 ziplines and the biggest one so you don't need to pay extra for that. In case you don't complete all the activities you get a refund for the difference. There is no age for this experience, everyone can do it.
La que más me gusto: La que más recomiendo es el set de 7 tirolesas y 2 puentes colgantes. No tienen idea de las vistas que se pueden apreciar desde ahí. Es de las veces que más alegría y adrenalina he sentido (se podrán imaginar lo mucho que grite). No hay mejor sensación que ver debajo de tus pies la barranca. Volvería a hacerlo mil veces. Por favor tampoco se pierdan la Zip Line.

What I liked the most: My all-time favorite activity was the set of 7 zip lines and two bridges. I felt scared yet so amazed by the overwhelming view I had under my feet. There’s no better feeling than flying above the canyon. Still, Check de fastest Zipline in the world too.
¿Y si vamos al Valle de los monjes? /Monk Valley
Al siguiente día partimos temprano a Creel donde visitamos varios lugares. Fuimos al lago de Arereco, donde se pueden comprar artesanías y disfrutar del lago. Visitamos una cueva en la que austera y minimalistacamente vive un familia rarámuri. El valle de los hongos que son formaciones de piedras con forma de hongos, el valle de las ranas el cual son igualmente formaciones. Y el Valle de los Monjes, este lugar me pareció sensacional y algo completamente fuera de lo ordinario.

The next day we left our hotel and hit the road to Creel where we visited different places. We stopped at the Arereco lake where you can enjoy the view and buy locals crafts. We also visited a cave where a local family lives in the most minimalistic way you can expect. We also stopped at the frog and mushroom valley which are places with super curious rock formations, and last but not least the Monk Valley. This is one of the most exotic places I’ve seen, it’s a hidden place full of all rocks with peculiar shapes. Absolutely mind-blowing
No se pueden perder: Éste último y mi recomendación es disfrutarlo mínimo una hora. Tiene las formaciones más grandes y fuera de lo común que he visto. El lugar es un Valle escondido que oculta un gran secreto, se podrían dar cuenta por las fotos. No pueden dejar de visitarlo. Yo quería quedarme un día entero y hasta hacer picnic.

You can´t miss: You’ll need more than an hour to completely enjoy this place. I swear I wanted to stay there and have a picnic.
Llegamos a la capital /Once in the city…
Después del valle recomiendo irse directamente a la capital. Llegando a Chihuahua, chihuahua nos hospedamos 2 noches en el hotel Quality Inn. Está muy bien ubicado en el centro. Tuvimos la fortuna de apreciar el mapping ocasional que proyectan en la catedral, es un espectáculo que vale mucho la pena y se está poniendo muy de moda en los centros de las ciudades. Si en su ciudad hay no dejen de ir a verlo.

After de Monk valley I suggest you go directly to the city. Once in Chihuahua, Chihuahua we stayed at the Quality Inn hotel for two more nights. It’s super well located, we even had the opportunity to enjoy a mapping they were occassionally projecting on the main chapel. If you ever get the chance to attend a mapping event please do, it’s quite impressive.
¿Qué hacer aquí?/ What to do here?
Tours históricos: Ya que el hotel está en el centro histórico hay diferentes recorridos con personajes que te cuentan la historia de Chihuahua de la manera más amena posible. No me sentí en absoluto en un clase de historia aburrida, al contrario, nos reímos y los disfrutamos mucho.
Yo le recomiendo el tour de Pancho Villa y la visita con leyendas a las Grutas (el cual es chistoso y aterrados al mismo tiempo).

Touristic tours: Since we were in the heart of the city we could attend different tours, which by the way have nothing to do with the conventional and boring historical tours all kids complain about. These ones were super funny and with great actors. At least take one.
Llegó el momento de regresar / It’s time to go home
Y lamentablemente llegó el final del viaje y tuvimos que regresar a la realidad después de habernos desconectado de ésta. En su regreso no se olviden de comprar cortes de carne, queso asadero, carne seca y las mejores tortillas de harina del mundo. Estos son los mejores productos que se pueden traer en su regreso.
